🐚 SIREN CALL
Much of my artwork aims to recontextualize the mythic Sirens- historically portrayed as hyper-sexualized femme-fatales that drag weary sailors to their peril. I recognize their queerness and healing power, as protective alarm systems whose calls help to reorient our bodies to the land and sea. As a current member of an ocean rowing club that evolved from volunteer ship wreck rescue rowers + a witness to several past life seascape ordeals, I consider this work part of my long-term spiritual assignment.
Siren Calls are also an extension of my artwork. You’ll find charms and messages from the sea and sky as you navigate my website and projects. I began offering client readings to raise money for medical expenses that my insurance won’t cover. I appreciate this generative opportunity to exchange healing gifts with you.

Payment is sliding scale: $85-$150 for a ~ 60-75 min reading (sometimes we run over- let me know if you have time constraints).
Your reading includes 1) photos of your spread composed as an artwork + 2) an ocean meditation guiding you to work with an assigned psychic shell familiar. Total work on my end is 2+ hrs. The “industry” standard is $2/minute but I want to make readings accessible.
Payment Method: It’s up to you if you’d like to submit payment before or after (unless you purchase a gift certificate). As long as you remember, you’re welcome to pay after based on lenght or how you felt about the reading. Venmo is preferable (@maria-molteni). Paypal works too (mariazitamolteni @gmail).
Shellphone or Zoom Room? We can do the call over FaceTime or Zoom. Because of my tech set-up I’m unable to offer recordings. However, I don’t mind if you have a way to recording on your end. And if you have a pro zoom account, you’re welcome to set up the invite.

No need to bring an astrological birth chart but I may incorporate some knowledge of astrology. If you have some of this info on hand (even your sun, moon and rising signs), it may be helpful!

The Sirens, says one, are the charms of the gulf of Naples. No, says another; they were chaste priestesses They were neither chaste more priestesses, but exactly the reverse.
They were Sunbeams. They were perilous cliffs. They were a race of peaceful shepherds. They were symbols of persuasion. They were cannibals.
They were planetary spirits. They were prophets. They were a species of owl. They were the harmonious faculties of the soul.
